When my studio closed during the Covid lockdown, I set up a small workspace in my flat. Just a desk near a window, the new studio initially seemed impossible until I began experimenting directly on the windows. I had previously used reclaimed windows in my work so the idea felt familiar and intriguing.

In our locked-down world, the windows became portals, a symbol of my longing for nature. The passing day, the everchanging weather, animated through the painting, bringing an uncanny world of light into our flat.
