The Woods was inspired by time spent along the Euchan Water near Sanquhar a village in Southwest Scotland. It was created while I was on residency at Merz Gallery in 2021.

The Woods (Euchan Water), is part of a series called Pandemic Imaginaries which is work was created during the Covid 19 pandemic. This painting was made while I was on residency at Merz Gallery in Sanquhar Scotland in situ on the banks of Euchan Water.
